thoracolumbar fascia, anterior part of the iliac crest, and inguinal ligament

ribs 10-12, linea alba, pubis

thoraco-abdominal nerves
subcostal nerves
1st lumbar nerve

flexes and rotates trunk to the same side
Transversus Abdominis - Origin
costal cartilages 7-12, thoracolumbar fascia, iliac crest, inguinal ligament
Transversus Abdominis - Insertion
linea alba, pubic crest, and pubis
Transversus Abdominis - Innervation
thoracoabdominal nerves, subcostal nerves, and 1st lumbar nerve

compresses abdomen and stabilizes

pubic symphysis and pubic crest

xiphoid process and costal cartilages 5-7
