O:
Psoas–TP of lumbar vertebrae and sides of bodies T12-L5 and IV discs
Iliacus–superior 2/3 of iliac fossa, ala of sacrum, anterior sacroiliac ligament
I:
Psoas–strong tendon into lesser trochanter
Iliacus–tendon of psoas, lesser trochanter and shaft of femur inferior to lesser trochanter
A:
Flexes thigh
When thigh fixed, lateral flexion of vertebral column
Balances trunk when sitting
N:
Psoas–lumbar plexus (ventral L1-L3(4))
Iliacus–Femoral nerve L2-L4
Sartorius

ASIS
Superior part of notch inferior
I:
Superior part of medial surface of tibia
A:
Flexes thigh
Abducts thigh
Laterally rotates thigh

Quadriceps Femoris
O:
Rectus Femoris–AIIS, groove superior to acetabulum
Vastus Lateralis–Greater trochanter, lateral lip of linea aspera
Vastus Intermedius–anterior and lateral surfaces of body of femur
Vastus Medialis–Intertrochanteric line and medial lip of linea aspera, spiral line
I:
Base of patella
Via patellar ligament to tibial tuberosity
A:
Extends leg at knee
Rectus femoris also steadies hip joint and helps iliopsoas flex thigh
