Trapezius - action
All extend the head and neck Upper - laterally flex head and neck to same side, rotate the head and neck to opposite side, elevate scapula Middle - adduct the scapula, stabilize the scapula Lower - depress the scapula, upwardly rotate the scapula
Latissimus Dorsi - action
Extend the shoulder at GH joint, adduct the shoulder at GH joint, and medially rotate the shoulder at the GH joint
Teres Major - Action

Supraspinatus - Action
Abduct the shoulder at GH joint. stabilize head of humerus in glenoid cavity

Levator scapula - action
elevate scapula at ST joint, downwardly rotate scapula at ST joint, laterally flex head and and neck, and rotate head and neck to the same side - bilaterally extend head and neck
Serratus Anterior - action
with origin (ribs) fixed: Abduction of scapula at ST joint, upwardly rotate scapula at ST joint, depress scapula at ST joint, hold medial border of scapula against the rib cage with scapula fixed: may elevate border the thorax during forced inhalation
Pectoralis Major - Action
All fibers: Adduct shoulder at GH joint, medially rotate at GH joint, and assist to elevate thorax during forced inhalation Upper fibers: Flex shoulder at GH joint, horizontally adduct shoulder at GH joint Lower fibers: Extend shoulder at GH joint
Pectoralis Minor - action
Depress scapula at ST joint, abduct scapula at ST joint, downwardly rotate scapula at ST joint, may assist to elevate thorax during forced inhalation
Subclavius - action
Depress clavicle and draw it anteriorly, elevate first rib (assist during inhalation), stabilize SC joint
Biceps Brachii - action
Flex the elbow (humeroulnar joint), Supinate forearm (radioulnar joint), and flex shoulder (glenohumeral joint)
