Who can have an MUR
Pharmacist-choice
70% pharmacy MURS must be patients who fall within national target groups
National target groups
Patients taking high risk medicines
- NSAIDs
- Anticoagulants
- Antiplatelets
- Diuretics
Patients recently discharged from hospital who had changes made to their medicines
Patients with respiratory disease (prescribed more than 2)
Patients at risk of or with cardiovascular disease (prescribed more than 4)
MUR forms + reporting
Keep records for 2 years
Reviews data sent quarterly to NHS England Local Area Team
New Medicines Service
People who received first prescription for any of
- Asthma/COPD
- Type 2 diabetes
- Hypertension
- Antiplatelet
