Management of ASDs
If large:
Secunudum - catheter device closure at 3-5 years
pAVSD - surgery at 3 years
loud pansystolic murmur, lower left sternal edge
Small VSD - asymptomatic, no management required
Continuous murmur beneath left clavicle (upper left sternal edge) +/- bounding pulses
PDA
Management of PDA
Closure using catheter occlusion device at 1 year of age to reduce risk of bacterial endocarditis and pul vascular disease
Harsh systolic murmur, single heart sound
