What is MEN 1?
A
AD gene mutation located on chromosome 11 that leads to tumours of (3 Ps):
1. Pituitary tumour (10-20%): prolactinoma, GH secreting tumour, ACTH secreting, non-hormone secreting
- Pancreatic islet tumours (60-70%)
- Parathyroid (primary hyperparathyroidism - 90%)

A
Medullary carcinoma of thyroid (90%)
Phaeochromocytoma (40-50%)
Parathyroid hyperplasia (10-20%)

A
MEN 2a plus:
Mucosal neuromas
Intestinal ganglioneuromas
Marfanoid habitus
