How can drivers access platform?
Through bulkhead door and PSDs

Through drivers doors - DD
Platform End Door - PED only with permission of TC or emergency
What do you do if ONE PSD fails to open
Make PA to use other doors
Contact SCDO (DTRS)
What do you do if MULTIPLE PSDs fail to open?
Make PA - stand clear
Try doors again
Contact SCDO (DTRS)
Make PA - to use manual release handles

Attempt to cycle doors
What do you do if MULTIPLE PSDs fail to close?
Attempt to cycle doors
Ensure train doors are closed
Contact SCDO
Use Driver Control Panel (DCP) to close PSDs
What do you do if BOTH
Train and PSDs fail to open?
Make PA
Attempt to cycle doors
If unsuccessful perform ASDC OVERIDE
How do you operate Driver Control Panel (DCP)
Modified Cab unattended
Open panel
Insert key - check for 7 car
Open PSDs
Return to train - open doors - then close doors
Return to DCP - close doors
Remove key and close panel
Report to TC
When will you need to use DCP?
Degraded operations - operating in RM Mode you won’t get a green berth.
Stop on stopping mark and proceed with DCP procedure
Do you need permission to use DCP?
NO
What do you do if the PSI fails to illuminate?
As long as you have GREEN Departure Authorisation it means the PSDs are closed.
Proceed in accordance with movement authority and report to TC
What do you do if SDU is faulty and cameras not working?
Exit cab and use DCP
Return to cab and make PA
Close doors
Return to DCP and check doors are clear
