What is the hot zone
Where the attackers are known or believed to be present or there is an immediate threat to life
Warm zone
Where the attackers are believed to have passed through or could enter/reenter eminently. Cannot be guaranteed safe
Cold zone
Where it has been assessed that there is no immediate risk to life. Default to 1000m from hot zone until Joint Assessment of Risk
What is a Joint Assessment of Risk
A multi agency risk assessment to identify zones completed by Nilo

Identified by the nilo in the cold zone 1000m from incident
Where is the rvp
Jointly agreed, cold zone safe distance from incident, constantly reviewed

Cold zone close to boundary of warm zone. Only specialists work forward of fcp
