MODIFIED THOMAS TEST
- Test for tightness in hip flexors
- +ve = opposite leg lifts up

- Side lying, leg is in flexed position
- ABD upper leg and extend the hips
- +ve upper leg stays up when lowering it

HAWKINS KENNEDY TEST
- Arm 90* w/shoulder and elbow flexion.
- Add passive Internal rotation on the shoulder .
DROP ARM TEST
- +ve arms drop.
LIFT OFF SIGN (subscap)
- Hands on back and slide it up
- +ve abnormal mvt of the scapula.

What special test would you use to test for LATERAL EPICONDYLALGIA ?
MILLS TEST
- Provokes ECRL+B
- Passively pronate forearm, extend elbow, and flex wrist.
- +ve pain
COZENS TEST (use a table)
- Stabilise elbow, palpate lateral epicondyle
- Make a fist, pronate forearm and, radially deviate
- Ask the patient to do wrist extension while you resist this movement.
= pain +ve
What special test would you use to test for MEDIAL EPICONDYLALGIA ?
ACTIVE TEST
- Wrist Flexion and resist the hands.
PASSIVE TEST
- Passive wrist extension and supination.
+ve = PAIN
What special test would you use to test for DE QUERVAINS ?
FINKELSTEINS TEST
- places tension on APL and EPB.
- Hands are hanging off the table (ulna side)
- +ve pain

- Apply downward pressure.
- Ask the patient to contract their QUADS
+VE = Pain / Inability to complete the task.

- Upside down praying hands
+ve = Paraesthesia / Tingling in the thumb
TINELS TEST
- Physio gently tap the carpal tunnel region
- +ve = Paraesthesia / Numbness on the median nerve
What special test would you use to test for THORACIC OUTLET SYNDROME ?
ADSONS TEST
- Locate the Radial pulse (wrist)
- EXT elbow
- ABD + EXT Rotate shoulder
- Rotate the head towards the affected side and ask them to extend their neck.
- +ve if the pulse is lost / reduced.
ROOS TEST
- Shoulder at 90 ABD / ELBOW 90 FLEX
- Fingers Flex + Ext for 3 minutes
- +ve in that time symptom is reproduce

BALANCE ERROR TESTING
- Stand still eye close + feet together
- One leg balance
- Leg one behind each other
Count errors (20s)

1.) DISTRACTION (stand on the affected side// asis 6x graded exposure)
2.) THIGH THRUST (stand on asymptomatic side// leg flexed 90* push down)
3.) COMPRESSION (side lye on asymptomatic side// vertical thrust anterior rim of ilium)
4.) SACRAL THRUST (prone position// S2 thrust)
