UE: RTC Tear
Gold standard Dx
Dx gold standard is arthrography
UE: Tendon injuries and repairs of hand
Flexor tendon repairs —
How long immobilized?
When are flexion/extension OK?
First 3-4 weeks distal extremity immobilized with protective splint, wrist and digits flexed — IP joints maintained at 30-50 flexion
- Resisted extension and passive flexion in splint, AROM to tolerance @4 weeks

How long immobilized?
When initiate AROM?
- Prox repairs immobilized with wrist/digital joints in extension 4 weeks
- Distal IP joints in neutral 6-8 weeks
- AROM @6 weeks w/ prox IP joints in neutral
LE: THR
Cemented vs. Non-cemented
- WBS?
- Population?
Cemented: can tolerate full weight bearing immediately
Non-cemented: more stressful on bones during surgical procedure
— Non-cemented used with younger more active individuals
— Cemented used with individuals with fragile bones or those who will benefit from immediate WB ability
LE: ORIF following femoral fx
NWB how long?
1-2 weeks, crutches or walker, then PWB as tolerated
LE: TKR
Typically as result of ?
What NOT to do as part of rehab?
Typically result of DJD of knee
Early rehab 1-3 weeks
DO NOT use CPM for post-op uncomplicated TKR
