Msk Flashcards

1

Q

3 ways of identifying an MSK …

A

SMI is 0.5

1 side lobe will fit in the major lobe 3 times.

The decibel drop from the major lobe to the top of the minor lobe is around about -23.7 dB

Q

Other identifying features of an MSK?

A

The width of the major lobe is equal to 1.5 x the keying rate (Baud).

The width of the major lobe divided by 3 = the shift.

The width of the minor lobe = shift

Shift x2 is equal to modulation rate
