Which test is used to assess anterior cruciate ligament integrity?

A

Lachman Test:
Patient lies supine with their knee in about 20-30 degrees flexion and externally rotated. Examiner places one hand behind the tibia and the other on the patient’s thigh.
Examiner’s thumb should be on the tibial tuberosity.

On pulling anteriorly on the tibia, the intact ACL should prevent forward translational movement of the tibia on the femur.
