Age, sex, ethnicity, attire, clothes appropriate? cleanliness, grooming, bring anything?
BEHAVIOUR
Rapport: overfamiliar? hostile? eye contact? psychomotor retardation? distractable, concentration?
SPEECH
Volume, rate, tone, pressure, flight of ideas, rhythm or melody.
MOOD - climate
objective: how interviewer describes them
Subjective: in their own words
AFFECT- weather
how patient responds to emotional changes. labile is inappropriate laughing or crying.
THOUGHT FORM
was the conversation direct? clear? loosening of associations? knights move? word salad?
THOUGHT CONTENT
was it about hallucinations? delusions? thought withdrawal or interference?
PERSCEPTION
hallucinations- discuss what they were
any they percieving anything abnormal?
INSIGHT
are you unwell?
do you want treatment?
RISK
self: suicide or self harm
Others: children? public?
self neglect? medication?
COGNITION
orientation of time, place and person
