Duffy reflects on her old home, country and what she has lost as she migrates to a new country.

Personification of train has connotations of taking your time. Duffy has time to think and reflect on her past.
“Do I only think I lost a river, culture, speech, sense of first space and the right space?”
Question Duffy tries to answer but is unable to. She is unsure if she has lost her original identity by moving countries and trying to fit in there and reflects on this.
“Rural England”
Photography reflects back on his home country, which contrasts heavily with the current country at war.
