Air, mineral rich tissue, fast flowing blood, collagenous tissue.
What is light grey on a T2 weighted MRI?
High bound water tissue (muscle), fat and fatty bone marrow.
What is bright on a T2 weighted MRI?
Free water tissue, CSF.
What is light grey on a T1 weighted MRI?
Proteinaceous tissue.
What is dark grey on a T1 weighted MRI?
Collagenous tissue, high bound water tissue (muscle).
What is dark on a T1 weighted MRI?
CSF, air, mineral-rich tissue, fast-flowing blood.
What is bright white on a T1 weighted MRI?
Fat, fatty bone marrow, slow flowing blood, contrast agents.
What is the difference between T1 and T2?
T1 is anatomical, T2 is functional.
