Pre employment Testing required since?
-employees hired after 1/1/1999 will do pre-employment drug testing and RS testing for both alcohol and CS
Rehab applies to?
-rehabilitation does not apply to RS or post-accident testing for alcohol or CS
Employee cannot work if…(alcohol)?
- employee can’t engage in work if:
- consuming alcohol while working
- BAC of .02 or greater
- within 4 hours of consuming alcohol
- after refusing to submit to a alcohol test
- from consuming alcohol within 8 hours after an accident
If employee is perscribed a CS which may interfere with work, they must?
-employee using prescribed CS which may interfere with duties shall provide written notice to supervisor prior to engaging in work
-RS testing: urine and/or breath?
- shall be made on the basis of documented objective facts
- can only be made by supervisor or management personnel
- testing shall be within 2 hours, but no later than 8 hours for alcohol
- testing shall be within 32 hours for CS
- not afforded the one-time rehabilitation
- employee must be transported by another employee or supervisor
- any BAC result less than .02 is a negative result
- any BAC result of .04 or greater is a positive result
-CS testing looks for which drugs?
Cocaine, Amphetamines, Marijuana, Phencyclidine, Opiate (CAMPO)
EAP pay for how many treatment visits?
-EAP pays cost for first 3 visits
-employees who voluntarily seek help will?
not face discipline
-supervisors/managers will receive how much training?
60 minutes
-supervisors who knowingly permit an employee to violate this policy and work will?
shall be subject to immediate termination
