Brazed joint
Any joint or seam obtained by joining of metal parts in a plastic molten state
Welded joint
Ball-shaped end is held in a cup-like shell, allows movement in every direction; used for underwater and ragged terrain

Pipe protection for voids between pipes and sleeves through concrete floors

Pipe protection for pipes directly embedded in concrete and masonry walls
Metal sleeve
A female fitting screwed or caulked over at end for closing pipe
Cap
For dead ends, pipe flange that is not drilled for bolt holes
Blank flange
Flange that closes end of pipe; no opening for liquid or gas
Blind flange
To unite two pipes which can be detached without causing any deformation to the pipes (easy maintenance)
Union patente
To close systems, connect pipes that are to be disassembled occassionally
Union
A male threaded fitting which seals the end run of a pipe when fitted to a cap
Plug
(Increaser) A fitting that connects a larger pipe to a smaller one
Reducer
A fitting that allows the system to change between materials such as between plastic and metal pipe; and change between non-threaded pipe to threaded pipes
