Mountain Ranges Flashcards
The Alpine region of Switzerland, conventionally referred to as this mountain range represents a major natural feature of the country and is, along with the Swiss Plateau and the Swiss portion of the Jura Mountains, one of its three main physiographic regions. This mountain range extends over both the Western Alps and the Eastern Alps, encompassing an area sometimes called the Central Alps.

Caucasus Mountains
This mountain range is a mountain range in Eurasia that runs north-south mostly through Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the river Ural and northwestern Kazakhstan. The mountain range forms part of the conventional boundary between the continents of Europe and Asia.
