Emergency response vehicle (ERV): A vehicle dedicated to the regional security office (RSO) for the purposes of emergency response. When approved by the COM, DS special agents may utilize ERVs for home-to-work transportation to improve emergency response and for business purposes.

A/LM/PMP/OF: Overseas Fleet Division is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of policy and regulations governing the Department’s overseas motor vehicle fleet.
b. DS/PSP/DEAV: The Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division is responsible for the development of policies, standards, and oversight of requirements for armored vehicles.
c. OBO/OPS/SHEM: The Office of Safety, Health, and Environmental Management within the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations oversees safety, health, environmental programs, including overseas motor vehicle operations.

Vehicle accountable officer (VAO):
