Motivation Flashcards
Why do you want to join the RAAF?
Ive wanted to join the air force in some capacity for a long time since around highschool.
I want to work in a place where i feel im contributing to something meaningful and makes some sort of impact, which is something I didn’t have in my previous employment.
Why do you want to be an engineer?
I like coming up with solutions to problems.
I also like the complexity of being an engineer where the job is always different or a different problem to solve.
Which I found was lacking in my marketing career.
I wanted to switch to an engineering degree during my time at university but figured i should finish the one I started.
Figured this would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone. Join the air force and become an engineer.
What Challenges might you face?
and how will you overcome them?
I think the biggest challenge will be the transition from civilian to military life:
spending large amounts of time from friends and family.
Although Im aware that there are multiple ways of still communicating with them.
Why airefielld engineer?
The diveristy of the work i think is the biggest draw to me. Being able to work on a variety of different things with diverse individuals makes the job more appealing.
Of the different engineering positions i feel like civil engineering in general has more tangible results. Which leads to greater sense of accomplishment for both yourself and your team.
