Whats the difference between leadership and Management?
Leadership is more about influenceing, motivateing, and enableing others to contribute toward a vision of goal.
Management deals with the direct processes of achieving that goal. Management consists of controlling a group or a set of entities to accomplish a goal.
One way i have found to judge if people see you as a leader is to see how many people outside of your hierarchy ask you for advice.
Describe the qualities and attributes that you think make up a good leader
- Someone who can lead by example.
- Is able to motivate and communicate effectively.
- Work for their employees.
- Build good relationships with their employees
- Passionate about their work.
- Open minded (Never Stop Learning).
Why do I want to be a leader?
I want to challenge myself and make a difference and being in a leadership position is the best way to achieve this.
I’m ready for the challenge and the responsibilities that come along with it.
I believe in a leadership position I will be able to bring out the best in myself and other around me.
When have you shown good leadership in your life? Examples
- Oldest of 6 children - often looked to for advice and looked up to by younger siblings. Have to be a positive role model.
- Ambassador for USC in Munich during my study overseas, creating presentations and informing others of our university life in hopes of inspiring them to study their.
- Ive also been in unnnofical leadship positions in my previous employement where my peers woul doften ask me for advice and i was incharge of organisign staff and in some cases the hiring and firing of staff.
What makes a successful team?
- Common Goal.
- Communication
- Effective leadership

Discuss how you have contributed to teamwork in your life (school, work, hobbies etc)
- Working in groups throughout University, creating successful presentations, projects and assessments.
- Played Rugby league throughout childhood and teenage years, where we won multiple grand finals.
- Have been a member of a team in employment in marketing and in retail.
Examples of being a good team member. eg. sports team.

What does leadership mean?
Inspiring and motivating others towards a common goal or values.
Supporting and bringing up those around you so they can excel
What is my leadership Style?
I would say I would like it to be a mix of task and people orientated leadership styles.
That way i can focus on the task and make quick decisions when necessary and also be able to communicate and allow for input from the team when possible.
