MoSCoW Prioritisation Flashcards
What does MoSCoW stand for?
Must have
Should have
Could have
Won’t have
What does must have mean?
These provide the Minimum Usable Subset if requirements that the project guarantees to deliver.
There is no point delivering the solution without these; the solution is not legal or not safe without it; the solution will not be viable without this.
What does should have mean?
These are requirements that are important but not vital.
They may be painful to leave out but the solution is still viable.
They may need some workaround.
What does could have mean?
These are requirements that are wanted or desirable but less important. They would have less impact if left out than a should have.
What does won’t have mean?
These are requirements that the project team have agreed will not be delivered in this timeframe.
