A

Not much attention is given to within country variation

Infectious diseases are enduring rather than a distinct/discrete stage

Transition does not have to flow in one direction

A

Number of deaths per 1000 people in that specific 5 year age group

Special case is IMR (deaths between for those aged less than 1)

A

Adding together all ASDR adjusted (weighted) by the proportion of each age group in the total population. Can be used to compare countries with dif age structure.
