What is morphology?
A
The study of the internal structure of words, and of the rules by which words are formed.

What is a morpheme?
A
The linguistic term for the most elemental unit of grammatical form.

What is an infix?
A
A morpheme that is inserted into other morphemes. In English only obscenities are used this way: Kalama-flippin-zoo.

What is a circumfix?
A
A morpheme that is split and attached to a base morpheme both initially (in front) and finally (behind). Also called discontinuous morphemes.
