Different populations that interact with one another, through competition, predation and symbiosis

all abiotic and biotic factors in an environment

Everything that affects an organism and everything an organism affects.
What is biome?
Group of ecosystems in a specific region with a specific set of biotic and abiotic factors
What is a biosphere?
Sum of all ecosystems worldwide
What’s the major factor in Terrestrial Ecosystems that affect diversity?
Precipitation and Temperature
What’s an ecological niche?
The role a species play in its environment, including the conditions it needs to survive and its interactions with other species
What is interspecific competition?
Competition between different species occupying the same niche
What is intraspecific competition?
Competition between individuals of the same species
What does predation do in Ecosystems
Number of predators can limit the number of prey and they may feed on different types of prey
What does parasitism do in ecosystem?
Doesn’t kill the host but it can limit reproduction and quality of life of the hose.
What is a Eukaryote
any cell or organism that possesses a clearly defined nucleus.
What is a Prokaryote
organisms whose cells lack a nucleus and other organelles.
