More Components Flashcards
Rotor positioning control panel LOCATION
Mounted on cockpit right overhead console
Rotor positioning control panel FUNCTION
Used to position the MRH to engine start only
Momentary contacts for : Positioning valve and safety valve
Safety Valve LOCATION
Aft hydraulics compartment, fwd of the rotor break manifold
Safety valve FUNCTION
Isolates positioning system from the utility system for flight
Opens on an electrical signal from: master power switch, rotor positioner switch(on rotor positioning ctrl panel)
Positioning valve LOCATION
Lower aft, left side of MGB mounted on a bracket(top valve)
Positioning valve FUNCTION
Directs pressure to: Reverse valve and positioning actuator
Where does the positioning valve receive electrical signals from
Rotor positioner switch
Blade fold position switch
Pylon fold switch
Reversing Valve LOCATION
Lower aft, left side of MGB mounted on a bracket under the positioning valve
Reversing Valve FUNCTION
Provides directional control of the hydraulic positioning motor
When energized: main rotor rotation is counter clockwise(normal)
Where does the electrical signal come from for the reversing valve
180 degree segment of the #13 slip ring to energize or de-energize the reversing valve
PBR
Positioning Valve
Bracket
Reversing Valve
Positioning Assembly LOCATION
Lower aft left side of the MGB
Positioning assembly FUNCTION
Engages Rotor Brake disc teeth
Turns the rotor head
Slip Ring Assembly LOCATION
Mounted to the base of the MGB shaft in the cabin overhead
Slip Ring assembly FUNCTION
Transitions (converts) stationary wiring to rotating wiring
