Safety valve

“Flight ready”
Indicates safe for flight condition
“Blade spread”
Indicates all MRB are fully spread and all lock-pins are engaged
“Safety valve open”
Indicates the safety valve is open and hydraulic pressure to PPPB
What is PPPB
Positioning valve
Pitch lock valves
Pylon fold valve
Blade fold valve
“Head in fold position”
Indicates MRH is properly positioned for blade fold
“Pitch lock advanced”
Indicates that any one of the six pitch locks has advanced from the retract position
Blade/Pylon Fold Control Panel LOCATION
Mounted to cockpit right overhead console
Pitch lock control switch
Controls engagement and disengagement of the pitch locks
Blade fold position control switch
Controls folding and spreading of the MRBs
Pylon fold control switch
Controls folding and spreading of the tail pylon
“Pitch lock engaged”
Indicates all six pitch locks have fully extended
“Blades folded”
Indicates all MRBs are fully folded
“Pylon unsafe for flight”
Indicates all conditions have not been fully spread and prepare the tail pylon for flight
