Increases our focus,energy and improves sleep cycle
How does Serotonin alter mood?
It balances mood and feelings of well being and happiness

It reduces blood flow and abnormal phosphorus metabolism in the prefrontal aspect of the cerebral cortex
What are the consequences of mood disorders?
Change in interpersonal relationships: hard to live with them
No energy, reduced functional ability , increased potential for suicide

Females at risk due to hormonal fluctuations
Individuals in the second and sixth decades of life
