Buses empty / half full
Hardly any black people rode on them

Rev MLK called meeting on Mon eve
Told attendees to continue boycott until segregation ended
Montgomery churches began minibus service
MLK stressed protests remain peaceful

Bus company in danger of going bust
MLK + 100 others arrested for plotting an ‘illegal boycott’

White people turned to violence as boycott continued
MLK’s home bombed 3 x by march
Bombs in main black churches
White ppl joined citizens council, afraid of desegregation coming into effect

Bus company gave in + desegregated their buses
