Septic shock

A
  • Monitor vital signs: heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation.
  • Assess urine output: Aim for >0.5 mL/kg/hr to ensure adequate renal perfusion.
  • Mental status
  • Check peripheral perfusion: Warm extremities and capillary refill time <2 seconds.
  • Measure central venous pressure (CVP) if applicable, to guide fluid therapy.
  • Follow-up laboratory tests: lactate, blood gas analysis , hemoglobin, electrolytes, and renal function
  • Review hemodynamic monitoring data if available (e.g., cardiac output, stroke volume variation).
