Q

What are molecular elements?

A

Contain more than 1 element, but all atoms are the same.
Most non-metallic elements are molecules.
The molecular formula tells us how many atoms are present.

Q

How do you know when elements exist as molecular elements?

A

A molecule is a cluster of 2 or more atoms tightly bonded together. Cl2 (chlorine), O2 (oxygen gas) and F2 (Florine) all contain 2 atoms so they exist as molecules.
