the moment of a force is a measure of the turning effect on the force of an object

how do you find the CoM of an object?
A
- put a hole in the corner and suspend the card from a rod
- use a plumb line to draw a vertical line on the card from the rod
- repeat the procedure, hanging the card from a different corner. The point where two lines meet is the center of mass
