Self limited epidermal viral infection

What is the clinical manifestation?
A
Skin coloured white papules, often umbilicated (with a little depression in the centre like the belly button), few to myriads of lesions

Spread by direct contact, auto inoculation, sexual contact

what is the diagnosis for molluscum contagiosum?
A
None required but biopsy can confirm diagnosis

What is the management of molluscum contagiosum?
A
Cryotherapy
Topical retinoids
Imiquimod - immune modulator that producers a cytokine inflammation
