Q

How do repeaters work

What are some features they have

What do you need to program your radio with to use one

What should you not do with repeater frequencies

A

Have an input and output so they can transmit and receive at the same time

Only let in valid signals
Timeouts to cut down on long “overs”

Program radio with offset and a CTCSS tone

Use them for two way operation (use input and output frequencies for each)
