What does genesis show about god
God is omnipotent or all powerful. He has unlimited power. He can create things form nothing (ex nihlio) as seen in genesis 1. For Catholics it shows them that God has the power to make anything exactly the way he wants it to be
What does it mean to be made in the image of god
Being made in the image of God means to be caring and loving. We can live out the image of God today by respecting and caring for other people and the world around us. we can do this by being a good steward and recycling as well as treating everyone equally
Is genesis an aeitology ( a symbolic story)
Catholics think that genesis is an aeitology. They don’t take the account literally or word for word
What happens in genesis 1 and 2
God created the world in 6 days in genesis 1
god creates adam and eve in genesis 2
