Blood/Blood products
refers to whole blood, red cells, granulocytes, plasma, platelets, cryoprecipitate and cryosupernate

a formal permit issued by the DOH-CHD to an individual, partnership, corporation or association which has complied with all the technical requirements as prescribed by law and in the Manual of Standards for Blood

End-User Hospital (EU)
licensed/accredited non-hospital health facility without a licensed clinical
laboratory but which provide transfusion of blood or blood component
End-User Non-Hospital Health Facility

an individual who donates blood on one’s own volition or initiative and not induced, directly or indirectly, in any manner whatsoever, by any monetary compensation
Voluntary blood donor
an individual who has been screened by history and physical examination, found to be fit to donate blood, and included in the list of qualified voluntary donors who is ready to donate blood when needed in his or her community.
Walking blood donor
a blood bank that exists for profit, money or any material gain earned out of sale of, or exchanged of blood or blood products which profit, money or any material gain are not used solely for the operation and maintenance of the blood bank

blood service facility in a facility duly authorized by DOH CHD pursuant to DOH AO 101-A s.2003, w/ ff capabilities:
- provision of whole blood & packed red cells
HOSPITAL BLOOD STATION
hospital with a licensed clinical lab capable of RED CELL TYLING & CROSS-MATCHING & which does not have any blood service facility but which only receives blood & blood components for transfusion as needed
End-User Hospital (EU)
licensed/ accredited non-hospital health facility without a licensed clinical lab but which provide transfusion of blood or blood components
