Why do racial and ethnic groups differ in intelligence scores?
It is largely due to environmental differences
How are intelligence tests “biased”?
They are sensitive to performance differences caused by cultural experience.
How are intelligence tests “ inappropriately biased”?
A test predicts less accurately for one group than for another. In this sense, most experts consider the major aptitude tests unbiased.
What does stereotype threat mean?
A self-confirming concern that one will be evaluated based on a negative stereotype, affects performance and skill on tests.
