Culture
What are the 2 Forms of Culture?
- Material (Tangible)
- Non-material (Intangible)
Refers to the physical objects that people produce. Example: Buildings, infrastructures, vehicles, clothing, artworks, tools, artifacts. goods, technological creations, factories and so forth.
Material (Tangible)
Refers to the non-physical aspect of human creations in which literally you can’t touch it. Example: Beliefs, religion, laws, symbols, and norms in the society.
Non-material (Intangible)

Are conceptions or ideas people have about what is true in the environment around them. Example: like what is life, how to value it, and how one’s beliefs on the value of life relate with his or her interaction with others and the world.
Beliefs
Describes what is appropriate or inappropriate (good or bad, desirable or undesirable; worthy or unworthy) in a given society or what ought to be.
Values
Is a shared set of spoken and written symbols. It is basic to communication and transmission of culture. It is known as the storehouse of culture.
Language
It includes all artifacts, methods, and device created and used by people
Technology
Are specific rules/standards to guide appropriate behavior.
Norms
Define and tells us things not to do

Territory
Enables an individual to understand the cultural aspect of man and it’s role played in the society. It provides a different way of looking at life, and provides a deeper understanding of why and how people behave within the society
Sociological Perspective
Enables you to understand the origin of culture diversity through mankind hence the concentration a human perspective. It will widen your horizon into a specific point of view understanding of judging people in the society and its culture diversity.
Anthropological Perspective
Survival of the fittest. Members of each society must learn to adopt to their surroundings to outlast the prevailing conditions present in their environment.
