A cave that is tucked into a towering cliff which forms the north-western face of a massive limestone promontory called Lipuun by the local people.
Tabon cave (1962)
A massive limestone promontory that was was
formed by uplifted, coralline limestone which oil geologists have dated to the Middle Miocene; cliffs and slopes are honeycombed with caves.
Lipuun point
A cave that is located about 375 feet above the present sea level, tucked into a face of a sheer cliff which forms the western exposure of Lipuun point, making the view of the South China Sea and the tropical islands that dot the foreground truly and unbelievably spectacular; was not only a place of burial but a sacred sanctuary or cemetery in the sky.
Manunggul cave
A cave that was first evaluated as an archaeological site or landscape in 1998 under the leadership of Dr. Wilhelm Solheim; where several human skeletons, animal bones, potsherds, shells, beads, and tools were found.
