Definition:
A feature that automates the trial-and-error process by allowing you to specify a value for the calculated item, which Excel uses to determine the input value needed to reach that goal.
error value
a message in a cell that indicates some part of a formula is preventing Excel from returning a calculated value
fill handle
a box that appears in the lower-right corner of a selected cell or range
lookup function
a function that retrieves a value from a table of data that matches a specified condition
lookup table
a table that sores the data you want to retrieve with a lookup function
horizontal lookup table
a lookup table in which the compare values are located in the first row

logical function
a function that returns a different value depending on whether the given condition is true or false
