Q

What does the term increment refer to in DAS?

A

The term increment refers to a strategy of incremental development and production. That is, to field the first increment as rapidly as possible, then follow-on with subsequent increments of increasing capability. Using an incremental approach, the CDD may contain the operational performance parameters for all potential increments, while the CPD will only provide operational performance parameters for each individual increment.
