Sysprep
The System Preparation Tool (Sysprep.exe) is used along with ImageX or hardware disk duplication
devices to prepare a source computer for disk imaging. Sysprep.exe comes with Windows Vista and
is located in WINDIR\System32\sysprep.

Aimed at home users, the Windows Vista Home Basic edition is recommended for computers that

This edition supports one physical processor and memory up to 8 GB, and does not support the
Windows Aero interface.
Windows Vista Home Premium
includes
additional features such as Windows Aero, an integrated search, Windows Media Center, Windows
Tablet PC, DVD authoring tool, games, file system encryption, and photo management software.
This edition can support only a single processor and memory up to 16 GB.
