operating system automatically detects and configures a device plugged into the computer, so the device can be used almost immediately.
what are the advantages and disadvantages of wireless devices?
ADVANTAGES:
• Less clutter
• Wide range for movement
DISADVANTAGES:
• easily removable - can be stolen easily
• require batteries
• interference can make then stop temporarily
• more expensive
what does resolution mean?
number of pixels used to form screen image

what does response time entail?
the time it takes a pixel to change from one colour to another

describe the difference between inkjet and laser printers
inkjet:
- spray microscopic dots of ink
- relatively cheap
- ink cartridges -> cheaper than laser cartridges but need to be replaced more frequently
- produce good quality
- slightly slower than laser
laser:
- toner instead of ink
- more expensive
- cheaper to run when printing large volumes
- print faster
