Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
Increases the release of thyroxine from the thyroid gland. Released from the anterior pituitary.
Prolactin (PRL)
Stimulates milk production in the breasts. Released from the anterior pituitary.
Melatonin
Effects the release of GnRH by hypothalamus. Released from the pineal body.
Epinephrine (E)
Increases sympathetic response. Released from the adrenal medulla.
Oxytocin (OT)
Increases the contractions of the uterus during birth and promotes the release of breast milk. Released from the posterior pituitary.
Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH)
Increases the release of FSH and LH from the anterior pituitary.
Prolactin Inhibiting Hormone (PIH)
Decreases the release of PRL from the anterior pituitary. Released from the hypothalamus.
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH)
Increases the retention of water by the kidneys. Released from the posterior pituitary.
