What is a VD?
Venereal Disease = Sexually Transmitted Disease
What does enthetic mean?
Inoculated/implanted into body via external sources (e.g. syphillis)
What is the difference between STD & STI?
STD is transmitted only via sexual contact whereas an STI is via sexual contact OR by other means E.g. Chlamydia is both an STD and an STI
Define BBV and give examples
Blood Borne Virus (HIV, Hep B C)
What are the key STIs in Australia
Chlamydia! Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, HPV, Herpes Simplex, Trichomonas
