Perfect Square
A square of a whole number.
Irrational Numbers
A number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of two integers or as a repeating or terminating decimal.
Principal Square Root
The nonnegative square root of a number.
Rational Number
Any number that can be expressed as a ratio of two integers.
Real Numbers
A rational or irrational number.
Repeating Decimal
A decimal in which one or more digits repeat infinitely.
Square Root
A number that is multiplied by itself to form a product is called a square root of that number.
Terminating Decimal
A decimal number that ends, or terminates.
Radical Symbol
The symbol used to represent the nonnegative square root of a number.
Integers
The set of whole numbers and their opposites.
Whole Numbers
The set of numbers 0,1,2,3,…
Negative Numbers
An integer less than zero.
Positive Numbers
An integer greater then zero!
