Distinguish the differences of a pandemic and epidemic

A

Epidemics is the rapid spread of an infectious disease to a large number of people within a short period of time. It is the consistent presence of a disease in a given area and is usually at an endemic level.

whereas, pandemics are the Increasing rate of transmission to a larger amount of people outside of the region, continent or country and are above endemic levels.
