Define war
War is an attempt by one state to either, defend itself against another state or try to take something such as land, resources or freedom from another power.
What is a civil war?
Armed conflict between different groups within the same country.
What is terrorism?
Illegal use of violence and intimidation to peruse a political or ideological idea

The belief that war and violence are wrong and cannot be justified
Absolute pacifist definition?
Believes that it is never right to take part in war even in self defence. Human life is so precious that nothing can justify deliberately killing a person
What is a conditional pacifist
Believes war is wrong, but accepts that sometimes there may be extreme circumstances when war is better than alternative
What is a selective pacifist
Opposes only a certain type of war, such as one that involves weapons of mass destruction, for example nuclear weapons
