How do you add a Global Quick Action for mobile or Lightning?

Answer 1

Step 1: Create the global action

• Setup > Global Actions > New Actions
• Select target object
• Edit layout
• Set predefined values if required

Step 2: edit the Global Publisher Layout to show it on mobile / Lightning

• Setup > Publisher Layouts > edit Global Layout
• If not already done, click “override the predefined actions” in Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions
• In Mobile and Lightning Actions, drag your new action in the layout editor and click save
