What is the difference between a laptop and a notebook?
They are the same. The term “notebook” was coined to discourage putting them on your lap, which can block airflow and cause overheating.

The laptop is a full sized portable device with a full keyboard. The netbook is a smaller form factor with different hardware and reduced features, such as a smaller keyboard.
